2021 Practical Support Summit

This weekend, I wrapped up one of the best conferences I’ve attended. The 2021 Practical Support Summit was so impactful, and we covered topics from centering women of color, supporting frontline volunteers, the intersection of practical support and climate disaster, working with youth, and more.

Why a children’s book about abortion is already making waves

My latest for Rewire News Group is live! I speak to Carly Manes and Emulsify, author and illustrator of a new children’s picture book, “What’s An Abortion Anyway?”

Interview with Anna Wood, author of “I’ve Had One Too” for Ms. Magazine

A few weeks ago, a publicist for a very new book emailed me and asked if I would speak with the author. I wasn’t sure what to expect but agreed after I received a copy of the memoir, “I’ve Had One Too.”

Exploring Jewish Identity through Art

“For as long as there have been a Jewish people, there have been questions about what it means to be a part of the Jewish people.”

I am extraordinarily grateful to have experienced a very innovative exploration of these questions in “Authenticity and Identity,” an art exhibit house in Adas Israel Congregation here in Washington, DC. The exhibit features over 70 artworks from over 40 artists–but no criteria were given for the kind of Jew the artists had to be to enter their art, as long as the art focused in some way on the questions of Jewish identity and authenticity.
