“So long as abortion is seen as secular, something to do with the world beyond the bimah and the synagogue doors instead of something happening in the pews, we fall short.”
This Shabbat, National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) is hosting over 200 events across the country for #ReproShabbat! Local synagogues, NCJW sections, Hillels, JCCs, Federations, and more will be hosting panels, discussions, giving d’var Torahs (sermons), and inviting local reproductive justice activists to participate–all to affirm that abortion access is a Jewish value.
I’m honored to have my latest piece in Lilith Magazine about my journey as a Jewish abortion activist and why #ReproShabbat is so important to me. Read my piece below and sign up for one of our events (you can sign up for any of them, not just local ones!)
